Bio
eigh Ann Yost began her musical career in 1996 as the other half of the popular folk/pop, Louisville, KY, duo, Hank Sinatra, and then to original folk rock band Gigolo Gypsy. She later married, and while pregnant with her first child, decided to learn to play guitar. Soon thereafter came the song-writing. Her songs range from loves gained and lost, to lives lived and roads crossed. Each song it's own, her less-is-more approach to song writing results in the perfect marriage between melodies, catchy hooks, and memorable lyrics.
Her freshman release, Basic Needs, has several tracks on regular rotation at 91.9 WFPK Radio Louisville and Bellarmine University's internet radio station. She's been invited to perform live on the radio at WFPK on several occasions, including Live Lunch in June of 2006. Kentucky Homefront, another radio program, featured Leigh Ann Yost Band at one of its shows, and ear x-tacy housed the venue for her CD release. As of recent, Borders Books and Music will carry her CD, and she will begin 'touring' Borders bookstores throughout the southeast. She most recently was accepted into the Kentucky Performing Arts Directory. Leigh Ann currently lives in Louisville, KY, with her husband and two sons.
